Praying from Romans 7:19. Themes: Sin, Struggle, Redemption.

Dear God, I come before you humbly and acknowledge that I am weak and prone to sin. I confess that there are times when I desire to do good, but I fail to follow through. And there are times when I don’t want to do evil, but I find myself practicing it. Lord, I ask for your help and guidance. Strengthen me to resist temptation and to do what is right in your eyes. Help me to overcome my weaknesses and to live a life that is pleasing to you. I pray that you would fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to live a life that honors you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.
Romans 7:19

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to resist practicing evil, even if it is something they desire, and strive to do good, even if it is difficult.
