Praying from Romans 8:26. Themes: Weakness, Prayer, Spirit’s Help
Dear Lord, I come before you today with all my weaknesses and shortcomings. I confess that I don’t always know how to pray as I ought to. But I thank you for the promise in your word that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. I claim this promise today and ask that the Spirit himself would make intercession for me with groanings that cannot be uttered. I trust in your unfailing love and grace, and I know that you will hear my prayers and answer them according to your will. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.
