Praying from Romans 13:9. Themes: Love, Commandments, Neighborly Love

Dear God,

Thank you for your commandments that guide us in living a righteous life. Help us to always remember that loving our neighbor as ourselves is the ultimate expression of obedience to your will. May we never forget the importance of treating others with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Please give us the strength and wisdom to resist temptation and avoid committing adultery, murder, stealing, and coveting. May we always strive to do what is right and just in your eyes.

We pray that you will fill our hearts with love for our neighbors, and help us to see them as you see them. May we be a shining example of your love and grace to those around us.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:9

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to love their neighbor as themselves, which sums up all the other commandments.
