Praying from Romans 1:23. Themes: idolatry, corruption, image

Dear God, please forgive us for trading your glory, which is incorruptible, for the likeness of images of corruptible man, birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things. Help us to always remember your greatness and to worship you alone. May we never be tempted to turn away from you and to put our trust in anything else. We ask for your mercy and grace to guide us on the right path. Amen.

Verse: and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things.
Romans 1:23

This is a Command. The verse is a warning against idolatry and the command is to not trade the glory of God for the likeness of corruptible things.
