Praying from Romans 11:10. Themes: Judgment, Blindness, Humility

Dear Lord, we pray that those who have turned away from you and reject your truth may have their eyes be darkened, not to harm them, but to awaken them to their need for you. May they come to see the light of your love and grace and turn their hearts towards you. We also pray that you would keep their backs bent, not to break them, but to humble them and lead them to repentance. May they come to know the joy and freedom that comes from surrendering their lives to you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Always keep their backs bent.”
Romans 11:10

This is a Command. The verse is instructing the reader to let the eyes of a certain group be darkened and to always keep their backs bent. It is not a promise.
