Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have brought me from following the mundane things of this world to be a shepherd of your people. Just as you brought David from tending to the ewes to be the shepherd of Jacob and Israel, I pray that you will use me to guide and lead your people towards you. May I be a faithful and loving shepherd, always seeking your will and following your ways. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your inheritance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
