Dear God, please help me to understand that true wealth comes from knowledge and wisdom, not just material possessions. Help me to use my resources wisely and to seek understanding in all areas of my life. May I never be like the animals that perish, but instead, may I grow in knowledge and understanding each day. Amen.

Verse: A man who has riches without understanding, is like the animals that perish.
Psalms 49:20

This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader that having riches without understanding is meaningless and will lead to the same fate as animals that perish. The command is to seek understanding and wisdom along with any wealth one may acquire.
