Prayer based on Psalms 49:12. Themes: Mortality, Wealth, Comparison to Animals.

Dear Lord, I come before you today humbly acknowledging that despite our riches, we are like the animals that perish. But I claim the promise that you have given us, that those who trust in you will not perish but have eternal life. Help me to trust in you and not in my own wealth or possessions. May I find my security and hope in you alone, knowing that you are the only one who can give me true and lasting life. Thank you for your promise and for your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish.
Psalms 49:12

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that despite a person’s wealth, they will not endure like animals that perish. It is a reminder that material possessions do not bring eternal life or lasting fulfillment.
