Prayer based on Psalms 12:4. Themes: Pride, Rebellion, Authority

Dear Lord, forgive us for the times when we have boasted with our tongues and relied on our own strength. Help us to recognize that our lips and our lives belong to you. You are the Lord over us, and we submit ourselves to your authority. May our words and actions always bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Psalms 12:4

This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke to those who boast about their own power and authority, and deny the lordship of God. The command is to humble oneself and acknowledge God as the ultimate authority.
