Prayer based on Proverbs 14:28. Themes: Glory, Community, Leadership

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise in Proverbs 14:28 that says, “In the multitude of people is the king’s glory.” I pray that you would increase my influence and impact in the lives of those around me. May my words and actions bring glory to your name and draw others closer to you.

I also claim the promise that says, “But in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.” Lord, I pray that you would protect me from isolation and loneliness. Help me to build strong relationships with others and to always seek community and fellowship. May I never fall into the trap of thinking that I can do life on my own.

Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for the promises that you have given us in your word. I trust in your goodness and your provision, and I pray that you would continue to guide me and lead me in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: In the multitude of people is the king’s glory, but in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
Proverbs 14:28

This is a Promise. The verse suggests that a king’s glory is found in having many people, while a prince’s destruction comes from having few people.
