Praying from Philippians 2:7 relating to Humility, Incarnation, Servanthood.
Dear Lord, as I meditate on the verse “but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men,” I am humbled by your great love and sacrifice for us. Help me to follow your example of humility and service to others. May I be willing to empty myself of my own desires and ambitions, and instead take on the form of a servant, just as you did. Thank you for becoming like us, so that we may know you and be saved by your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
Philippians 2:7
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to follow the example of Jesus and empty oneself, taking the form of a servant and being humble like Jesus.
