Prayer based on Matthew 25:11. Themes: Salvation, Preparation, Judgment.
Dear Lord,
I come before you today, claiming the promise that you will open the door for those who seek you. Just as the other virgins came to you, I too come to you with a humble heart, seeking your grace and mercy.
Lord, I know that I am not perfect, and I have made mistakes in the past. But I believe in your promise that if I seek you with all my heart, you will open the door for me.
So, Lord, I ask that you open the door of your love, your grace, and your mercy to me. Help me to walk in your ways and to follow your will for my life.
Thank you, Lord, for your promise and for your unfailing love. I trust in you and I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
Verse: Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘ Lord, Lord, open to us.’
Matthew 25:11
This is a Promise. The verse is describing the plea of the foolish virgins to be let into the wedding feast, but it does not contain a command for the reader to follow.
