Prayer based on Matthew 23:21. Themes: Oaths, Temple, God’s Presence.

Lord, I come before you in submission, acknowledging that you are the one who dwells in the temple. I swear by your holy dwelling place, and I claim the promise that comes with it. May your presence be with me always, guiding me and protecting me. I trust in your faithfulness and your power, and I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you for your love and your grace, and for the assurance that comes from knowing that you are with me. Amen.

Verse: He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by him who has been living in it.
Matthew 23:21

This is a Both.

The command is to not make false oaths or swear falsely by the temple, as doing so is equivalent to swearing falsely by God himself who dwells in the temple. The promise is that those who swear truthfully by the temple and by God will be held accountable for their words and actions.
