Praying from Matthew 13:57. Themes: Rejection, Prophethood, Honor.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the promise that a prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house. I claim this promise for myself today, knowing that sometimes those closest to us may not understand or appreciate the work you have called us to do.

Help me to trust in your plan and purpose for my life, even when others may be offended by me. May I always seek to honor you above all else, and may my actions and words reflect your love and grace.

Thank you for the example of Jesus, who faced rejection and offense from those around him, yet remained steadfast in his mission. May I follow in his footsteps and remain faithful to you, even in the face of opposition.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them,“A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house.”
Matthew 13:57

This is a Promise. The promise is that a prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house.
