Prayer based on Mark 9:47. Themes: Repentance, Sacrifice, Judgment
Dear God, please help me to recognize the things in my life that are causing me to stumble and lead me away from your Kingdom. Give me the strength and courage to remove them from my life, even if it means sacrificing something that I hold dear. Help me to trust in your plan and know that it is better to enter your Kingdom with one eye than to be cast into the Gehenna of fire with two. Thank you for your love and guidance. Amen.
Verse: If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,
Mark 9:47
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to remove anything that causes them to sin, even if it is as valuable as an eye, in order to avoid eternal punishment.
