Prayer based on Mark 9:45. Themes: Repentance, Sacrifice, Hell

Dear Lord, help me to recognize the things in my life that cause me to stumble and lead me away from you. Give me the strength and courage to cut them off, even if it means sacrificing something that I hold dear. Help me to remember that it is better to enter into life with a limp than to be cast into the eternal fire of Gehenna. May I always choose to follow you, even if it means making difficult decisions. Amen.

Verse: If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched—
Mark 9:45

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to cut off their foot if it causes them to stumble, as it is better to enter into life lame than to be cast into Gehenna.
