Prayer based on Mark 8:2. Themes: Compassion, Provision, Faith

Dear Lord, I thank you for your promise of compassion towards those who stay with you and have nothing to eat. I claim this promise for myself and for those around me who are in need of your provision. Just as you had compassion on the multitude who stayed with you for three days, I pray that you will have compassion on us and provide for our needs. Help us to trust in your unfailing love and to rely on your provision. Thank you for your faithfulness and for always being there for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days and have nothing to eat.
Mark 8:2

This is a Promise. The verse states that Jesus has compassion on the multitude who have been with him for three days without food. There is no command given to the reader.
