Prayer based on Luke 9:12. Themes: Provision, Compassion, Faith
Dear Lord, as the day begins to wear away, we come before you with humble hearts. Just as the twelve disciples asked you to send the multitude away to find food and lodging, we ask that you guide us to the places where we can find nourishment for our bodies and souls. We know that we are in a deserted place, but we trust in your provision and guidance. Help us to find rest and refreshment in your presence, and may we be filled with your love and grace. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms and lodge and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

This is a Command – The twelve disciples are commanding Jesus to send the multitude away to find food and lodging in the surrounding villages and farms.
