Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for your promise that a prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house. I claim this promise for myself and for all those who feel unrecognized and unappreciated in their own homes and communities. May they find honor and respect in the eyes of those around them, and may their gifts and talents be recognized and celebrated. Help us to remember that our worth and value come from you, and not from the opinions of others. Thank you for your love and grace. Amen.
