Prayer based on Luke 8:25. Themes: Faith, Fear, Power

Dear Lord, please forgive us for our lack of faith. Help us to trust in you even when we are afraid. We marvel at your power and authority over all things, including the winds and the water. Please help us to remember that you are in control and that we can trust in you completely. Thank you for your love and grace. Amen.

Verse: He said to them,“Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”
Luke 8:25

This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke from Jesus to his disciples for their lack of faith. He is essentially telling them to have faith in him and trust that he has control over the elements.
