Prayer based on Luke 7:8. Themes: Authority, Obedience, Servanthood.
Dear Lord, I am humbled by the authority you have placed in my life. Just as I am a man placed under authority, I pray that I may always submit to your authority and follow your will. Help me to lead with integrity and compassion, just as I lead my soldiers. May I always be obedient to your commands and trust in your guidance. Grant me the wisdom to know when to say “Go” and when to say “Come,” and the humility to serve others as your servant. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘ Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘ Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”
