Praying from Matthew 8:9 relating to Authority, Obedience, Servanthood.
Dear Lord, I am humbled by the authority you have given me in my life. Just as the centurion in the Bible, I too have people under my care and guidance. Help me to lead them with wisdom and compassion, always seeking your will in every decision I make. May I be a servant leader, always willing to listen and learn from those around me. And just as the centurion commanded his soldiers and servants, may I also be obedient to your commands and follow your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘ Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘ Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”
