Dear Lord, like the centurion who desired to save Paul, may we also have a heart that desires to save and help others. Give us the courage to stand up against those who seek to harm others and to command that those who can swim should go first towards the land. Help us to be selfless and put the needs of others before our own. May we always be willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, stopped them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should throw themselves overboard first to go toward the land;
