Dear Lord,
I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us through your word. You said to your disciples, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day.”
I claim this promise for myself today, knowing that through your suffering and resurrection, you have given us eternal life. I thank you for the sacrifice you made on the cross, and for the victory you achieved over death.
I pray that I may always remember this promise and live my life in a way that honors you. Help me to share this promise with others, so that they too may experience the joy and hope that comes from knowing you.
Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of eternal life that you have given us. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
