Prayer based on Luke 2:34. Themes: Salvation, Rejection, Prophecy
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with grateful hearts, thanking you for the promise of your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank you for the words spoken by Simeon, who blessed Mary and proclaimed that Jesus was appointed for the falling and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against.
We claim this promise today, knowing that Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith and the hope of our salvation. We pray that we may always stand firm in our belief in him, even when others speak against him.
We ask for your guidance and strength as we navigate the challenges of this world, and we pray that we may always be faithful to your will. May we be a shining light for others to see, pointing them towards the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for the gift of your Son, and for the promise of eternal life through him. May we always trust in your goodness and mercy, and may we never forget the power of your love.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
