Praying from Luke 22:61. Themes: Redemption, Forgiveness, Prophecy.

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the story of Peter and how you turned and looked at him, causing him to remember your words. Lord, I claim the promise that you have given me, just as you gave Peter a promise.

I know that you have promised to never leave me nor forsake me, and I hold onto that promise today. I know that you have promised to provide for all my needs according to your riches in glory, and I trust in your provision.

Lord, I also claim the promise that you have given me in your word, that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead, I will be saved.

Thank you, Lord, for your promises that are true and faithful. Help me to remember them always, just as Peter remembered your words. May I never deny you, but always stand firm in my faith.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him,“Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
Luke 22:61

This is a Promise. The verse is describing how Peter remembered Jesus’ prediction that he would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. There is no command given to the reader.
