Praying from Luke 22:67. Themes: Doubt, Belief, Messiah

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the verse in Luke 22:67 where the people asked Jesus, “If you are the Christ, tell us.” And yet, even when Jesus responded, they did not believe.

Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us in your word, that if we ask anything according to your will, you will hear us and answer us. I pray that you would give me the faith to believe in you, even when the world around me may doubt or question your existence.

Help me to trust in your promises and to have the courage to share your love with others, even when it may be difficult or unpopular. May I always remember that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that nothing can separate me from your love.

Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise that you will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The promise is that if Jesus tells them he is the Christ, they will not believe him.
