Praying from Luke 20:47. Themes: hypocrisy, greed, condemnation

Dear Lord, we pray for those who devour widows’ houses and use pretense to make long prayers. We ask that you open their hearts and minds to see the error of their ways and turn towards righteousness. May they receive your grace and mercy, and may they use their influence and resources to help those in need. We pray for their salvation and for the forgiveness of their sins. We trust in your justice and pray that they will receive greater condemnation if they continue to exploit the vulnerable. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
Luke 20:47

This is a Command. The verse is warning against those who exploit widows and make false prayers, and states that they will receive greater condemnation. The command is to avoid such behavior and not engage in it.
