Prayer based on Matthew 23:13. Themes: hypocrisy, condemnation, greed.

Dear Lord, we pray for the scribes and Pharisees who were condemned for devouring widows’ houses and making long prayers as a pretense. We ask for your mercy and forgiveness for their actions. May they turn away from their hypocrisy and seek to do good in your name. Help us to also avoid hypocrisy and to always act with sincerity and compassion towards others. Amen.
