Dear God, I thank you for the promise that you are not the God of the dead, but of the living. I claim this promise today and declare that all who have passed away are alive to you. I trust in your power to bring new life and hope to those who have gone before us. Help me to live each day with the assurance that you are with me, guiding me and giving me strength. Thank you for your love and grace that never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
