Dear Lord, we come before you humbly and ask for your forgiveness for the times when we have been hypocritical in our actions and words. Help us to remember that every living being deserves care and compassion, even on the Sabbath day. May we always be mindful of the needs of those around us, and may we act with kindness and love towards all creatures great and small. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for teaching us to be better stewards of your creation. Amen.

Verse: Therefore the Lord answered him,“You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead him away to water?
Luke 13:15
