Dear Lord, we come before you humbly and ask for your guidance and wisdom. We pray that we may never become like the lawyers who burden others with heavy loads and refuse to help carry them. Help us to be compassionate and empathetic towards those who are struggling, and to always be willing to lend a helping hand. May we never be too busy or too self-absorbed to notice the needs of those around us. We pray that you will give us the strength and courage to be a source of comfort and support to those who are in need. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: He said,“Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
Luke 11:46
This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke to the lawyers for their actions and a warning of impending judgment. There is no promise given in this verse.
