Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for reminding us that your Father is still working and that you are working too. We claim the promise that you are always at work in our lives, even when we cannot see it. Help us to trust in your plan and to have faith that you are working all things together for our good. May we be diligent in our own work, knowing that we are partnering with you in your divine purposes. In your holy name we pray, Amen.

Verse: But Jesus answered them,“My Father is still working, so I am working, too.”
John 5:17

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement by Jesus that he is working because his Father is still working. It does not contain a command or instruction for the reader.
