Prayer based on John 5:10. Themes: Law, Healing, Sabbath

Dear Lord, we come before you today with humble hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom. We ask that you help us to always remember the importance of honoring your Sabbath day and following your commandments. Just as the Jews reminded the man who was cured that it was not lawful to carry his mat on the Sabbath, we pray that you would remind us of the importance of resting and setting aside time to worship and honor you. Help us to be obedient to your word and to always seek your will in all that we do. We thank you for your love and grace, and we pray that you would continue to guide us on our journey of faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: So the Jews said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat.”
John 5:10

This is a Command. The Jews are commanding the man who was cured not to carry his mat on the Sabbath.
