Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have given us in your word. You have said that it is to our advantage that you go away, for if you don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to us. But if you go, you will send him to us. I claim this promise today, Lord. I ask that you send the Holy Spirit to guide me, to comfort me, and to give me wisdom and understanding. I know that I cannot do anything without your help, and I trust that you will be with me every step of the way. Thank you for your love and your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
