Dear Lord, just as Nathanael asked how you knew him, I too wonder how you know me. But I claim the promise that before I even knew you, you saw me. You saw me under the fig tree of my life, in my moments of doubt and fear, and you never left my side. Thank you for your constant presence and love. Help me to trust in your plan for my life and to always seek your guidance. Amen.
Verse: Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him,“Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

This is a Promise. Jesus is promising Nathanael that he saw him under the fig tree before Philip called him.
