Prayer based on John 13:20. Themes: Salvation, Discipleship, Authority

Dear Lord, I pray that I may always be open to receiving those whom you send into my life. Help me to see them as a reflection of you and to welcome them with open arms. May I also remember that in receiving them, I am receiving you and the one who sent you. Guide me in my interactions with others and help me to always show love and kindness. Amen.

Verse: Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.”
John 13:20

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to receive whomever Jesus sends, which is equivalent to receiving Jesus himself, and ultimately receiving God who sent Jesus.
