Praying from James 4:4 relating to Friendship, Hostility, Enemy of God.

Dear God, please help me to understand that being a friend of the world is being hostile towards you. Please guide me to make choices that align with your will and not the ways of the world. Help me to resist the temptation to conform to the world’s standards and instead seek to please you. I pray that I may never become an enemy of you by choosing to be a friend of the world. Amen.

Verse: You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
James 4:4

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not be friends with the world, as it is hostile towards God. Making oneself a friend of the world makes them an enemy of God.
