Praying from James 2:23 relating to Faith, Righteousness, Friendship.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today claiming the promise that Abraham believed in you and it was accounted to him as righteousness. I pray that I too may have the faith of Abraham and believe in you with all my heart, soul, and mind.
May I be counted as righteous in your sight and be called your friend. Help me to trust in you completely and to follow your will for my life.
Thank you for your faithfulness and for fulfilling the promises of Scripture. I trust in you and your word, and I pray that you will continue to guide me on the path of righteousness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Abraham’s belief in God was accounted to him as righteousness and he was called a friend of God, fulfilling the scripture. There is no command given to the reader in this verse.
