Dear God, help us to remember that this world is not our permanent home. We know that we are just passing through and that our true home is with you in heaven. Please give us the strength and courage to seek after the things that truly matter and to live our lives in a way that honors you. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on the eternal and to trust in your promises for the future. Amen.

Verse: For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.
Hebrews 13:14

This is a Command. The verse is telling the reader to seek the city that is to come, rather than focusing on the temporary city they are currently in.
