Praying from Hebrews 11:16 relating to Heavenly, God’s Promise, Faith

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for the promise that you have prepared a city for us, your children, who desire a better country, a heavenly one. I claim this promise today and ask that you would help me to keep my eyes fixed on the eternal home that you have prepared for me.

I pray that you would help me to live a life that is pleasing to you, so that you would not be ashamed to be called my God. Help me to trust in your goodness and faithfulness, even when life is difficult and uncertain.

Thank you for the hope that we have in you, and for the promise of a better country that is to come. May I always remember that this world is not my home, and that my true citizenship is in heaven.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. God has prepared a heavenly city for those who desire a better country. God is not ashamed to be called their God.
