Dear Lord, as I come up out of the waters of baptism, I claim the promise that the Spirit of the Lord will catch me away just as it did with Philip. May I be filled with your Holy Spirit and may it guide me on my journey of faith. May I never lose sight of you and may I always rejoice in your presence. Thank you for the gift of salvation and for the promise of eternal life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:39

This is a Promise. The verse describes how the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away and the eunuch went on his way rejoicing. There is no command given to the reader.
