Prayer based on Acts 7:32. Themes: God’s faithfulness, reverence, identity
Dear God, I thank you for being the God of my fathers – the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. I claim the promise that you made to them and I trust that you will be faithful to me as well. Help me to have the same reverence and awe that Moses had when he encountered you. May I never take your presence for granted, but always approach you with humility and respect. Thank you for being my God and for loving me unconditionally. Amen.
Verse: ‘ I am the God of your fathers: the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled and dared not look.
Acts 7:32
This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of God’s identity and history with the Israelites, specifically mentioning their patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Moses is overwhelmed by the presence of God and his own unworthiness.
