Prayer based on Mark 12:26. Themes: Resurrection, God’s faithfulness.

Dear God, I thank you for the promise that the dead will be raised. As I read in the book of Moses about the Bush, I am reminded of your words, “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” I claim this promise today and trust that you will raise the dead to new life. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the hope that we have in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
Mark 12:26

This is a Promise. The verse is referencing the promise of resurrection for the dead, as demonstrated by God’s declaration to Moses about being the God of the patriarchs who had already died.
