Dear Lord, we pray that you would raise up wise and respected leaders like Gamaliel in our midst. May they have the courage to stand up for what is right and just, even in the face of opposition. Help us to honor and respect those who teach your law and guide us in your ways. And may we always be willing to step back and listen to your voice, even if it means putting aside our own desires for a time. Amen.
Verse: But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the apostles out for a little while.
