Praying from Acts 16:15. Themes: Faithfulness, Baptism, Hospitality.
Dear Lord,
As I read the story of the woman who was baptized along with her household, I am reminded of your promise to bless those who are faithful to you. Just as she begged Paul and his companions to come into her house and stay, I too am begging you to come into my heart and stay.
I claim the promise that if I am judged to be faithful to you, you will bless me and my household. I pray that you will fill my home with your presence and that your love will overflow in every room.
Just as the woman in the story persuaded Paul and his companions to stay with her, I too am persuaded that you are the only one who can satisfy my soul. I pray that you will continue to guide me on my journey of faith and that I will always remain faithful to you.
Thank you for your promise to bless those who love and serve you. I pray that I will always be counted among your faithful servants.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.
