Praying from 2 Peter 2:19 relating to Bondage, Corruption, Liberty
Father God, I thank You for the promise of liberty that You have given to us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I declare that I am no longer a bondservant of corruption, but a child of God who has been set free by the power of the cross.
I claim this promise of liberty over my life and the lives of those around me. I pray that You would break every chain of bondage that has held us captive and that You would release us into the fullness of Your freedom.
I declare that no one can overcome us because we are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. We will not be brought into bondage again, but we will walk in the freedom that You have given us.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the promise of liberty that You have given to us. We receive it by faith and we declare that we are free indeed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.
2 Peter 2:19
This is a Promise. The verse is warning the reader that false teachers may promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves to sin. The promise is that true freedom can only be found in overcoming sin.
