Praying from 2 Peter 2:20 relating to Redemption, Warning, Consequences.
Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray that those who have escaped the defilement of the world through knowledge of you may not be entangled in it again. May they be strengthened by your grace and overcome any temptation that may come their way. We pray that their last state may not be worse than the first, but that they may continue to grow in their faith and knowledge of you. Help us all to remain steadfast in our commitment to you and to resist the temptations of the world. In your holy name we pray, Amen.
Verse: For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
2 Peter 2:20
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not become entangled in the defilement of the world after having knowledge of Jesus Christ, or else their last state will be worse than the first.
