Dear Lord Almighty,

Thank you for your promise that you will be a Father to me and that I will be your son/daughter. I claim this promise today and ask that you would help me to live as your child. May I always seek your guidance and wisdom, and may I honor you in all that I do. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the privilege of being called your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse promises that God will be a Father to the reader and that the reader will be His sons and daughters.
