Praying from 2 Corinthians 3:1. Themes: Self-commendation, Letters of commendation.

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the verse that asks if we need to commend ourselves or seek letters of commendation. Help me to remember that my worth and value come from you alone, and not from any earthly recognition or validation.

May I seek to live a life that honors you and brings glory to your name, rather than seeking the approval of others. Help me to trust in your love and grace, and to find my identity in you.

Thank you for your constant presence in my life, and for the assurance that I am loved and accepted by you. May I always seek to live in a way that reflects your goodness and grace to those around me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?
2 Corinthians 3:1

This is a Command. The verse is questioning the need for letters of commendation and discouraging the act of self-commendation.
